"Double Time" is the second story of the first episode of the first season of The Book of Pooh.

Synopsis

Pooh crosses out an extra day on Rabbit's calendar which causes Ol' Long Ears to believe he's lost a day, and the only way to make up for a lost day is to go on.... the double time!

Plot

Rabbit marks off his calendar one Friday morning before going to do his list of chores for Friday. Unbeknownst to him, Pooh shows up and sees the calendar, though he misunderstands what it is and thinks Rabbit forgot to mark the last square, so he does it for him. After Pooh leaves, Rabbit notices the last day is marked and panics when he thinks he lost a day. He decides to work twice as fast going through both his lists for Friday and Saturday, which ends with visiting his friends. The latter involves him confusing Pooh, only having time with Eeyore to knock down his house, rushing Owl's story, flying after Kessie before remembering he cannot fly, bouncing faster than Tigger, and overall confusing everyone. The others show Rabbit their concern and Rabbit explains his situation. When he brings up the calendar, Pooh reveals what he did, making Rabbit realize he had been rushing for nothing. However, Piglet tells Rabbit he can now spend Saturday relaxing, which he decides to do while the others help by reminding him to relax every time he feels like doing something. He eventually falls asleep due to being tired from the work the previous day, then the others fall asleep with him.
