The Backson is the false main antagonist of the 2011 Winnie the Pooh film.

In The House at Pooh Corner, Pooh reads a note that Christopher Robin made reading, "Gon out. Bisy. Backson" and asks Owl what it means. Owl believes that Christopher Robin has gone out, and is busy, with a creature called a Spotted or Herbaceous Backson, but in reality, he'd simply misspelled "Gone out. Busy. Back soon."

In the movie, Christopher Robin once again wrote the misspelled note, but this time Owl thought the Backson was an evil, mess-making creature who had kidnapped Christopher Robin. The other animals speculated on the Backson's habits, accusing it of stealing youth, "not begging your pardon", and many other things. They then decided to dig a pit and use things Backsons like as bait, trapping the Backson.

As it turns out, Christopher Robin had only been trying to write, "Back soon", though a creature who matched the Backson's physical description did exist. However, this creature was benevolent.

The Backson appears as a doll in Me & Winnie the Pooh episode "Pooh Bear Plays Hide-and-Seek".
